Where is The Prince of Wales?
The Prince of Wales is at 84-85 Cambridge Street, Birmingham, B1 2NP. directly behind the bus stop opposite Civic Close and adjacent to the ICC.
It has an excellent location in the Westside of the city centre close to Centenary Square, the Library of Birmingham, the ICC, the Birmingham Repertory Theatre, Symphony Hall and the ICC (International Convention Centre.

In brief
With a history dating back to 1858, it received a complete external and internal makeover and reopened in Spring 2022.
This famous haunt has been visited by many a celebrity, including, in 2010, Lady Gaga. The pub is popular with visitors to the REP theatre, the ICC, Brindleyplace and the Utilita Arena, as well as Birmingham's lovers of great pubs.

The pub first opened over 160 years ago in 1858.
By 2010, The Prince of Wales was a Festival Ale House and the landlord was Mark Pagett.

By 2015, The Prince of Wales had new owners and had been externally painted black.

After restrictions from the first lockdown began to ease by the summer of 2020, the Prince of Wales on Cambridge Street reopened.

An ownership change in early 2022 led to the pub returning to its traditional colours of cream, blue and red. It became a Black Country Ales Inn.

The Prince of Wales and Birmingham's music scene heritage
The Prince of Wales was transformed into a live music venue in 2018 by Lisa Travers, the daughter of UB40 saxaphone player Brian Travers.
